The Mequon-Thiensville Education Foundation thanks you for your part in making our fundraising efforts a success last year. Because of you, we were able to provide $243,500 toward advancements in technology, curriculum support and personnel development. The MTEF has granted over $4.6 million since 1998 contributing to our school district ranking among the best in Wisconsin with all of our schools exceeding state standards and expectations. YOUR SUPPORT plays a critical role in the mission of the MTEF and the success of our students.
2020 has been a challenging year for everyone. COVID-19 has disrupted our lives in ways that we couldn’t imagine including virtual education for our students, additional expenses for the district related to COVID-19, and the cancellation of fundraising opportunities for charities including the MTEF.
During our grant process this past spring, we recognized that COVID-19 could still be a significant factor as we started this school year. We were fortunate to be able to fulfill district grants to help with a shortage of technology devices and the implementation of Canvas. Canvas is a learning management system that helps instructors manage and organize educational materials online and conduct online courses.
If you are able, please show your continued support of our schools and students by making a tax-deductible contribution to the Mequon-Thiensville Education Foundation’s 2020-2021 Annual Giving Campaign. Our goal this year is to increase the campaign fundraising by 20% to offset the losses from our other fundraising activities. We need your help to reach that goal!
Sincerely,
Tom Price President 2016-2018, 2020-2021
