It is important to recognize the major impact that strong teachers have on students.The annual MTEF Excellence in Teaching awards are given to educators who demonstrate exemplary leadership in the preparation of students for continued academic advancement at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Nominations are submitted by peers, students, parents and guardians. All recipients must demonstrate good communication and leadership skills; exhibit a willingness to become involved; share their teaching expertise with students, as well as peers; incorporate innovating teaching methods; and have a positive impact on students.
