Congratulations on the upcoming graduation of your child from Homestead High School! In July, you will celebrate a significant milestone in your child’s life. Graduation is a time to reflect on all that your child has accomplished and the outstanding education your child has received in the Mequon-Thiensville School District.
The Homestead Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) and the Mequon-Thiensville Education Foundation (MTEF) invite you to “Leave a Legacy” in honor of your child. The MTEF created the “Leave a Legacy” fund several years ago to help ensure that future students of Homestead High School benefit from the same excellence that your child has received. After consulting with his staff, Principal Ebert has proposed a legacy project that will benefit both current and future Homestead students. Each family of a graduating student is asked to join in this legacy.
With the school district referendum passing in April, Homestead is now slated to receive a new entrance at the Highlander Walkway. Along with this, a new school sign will need to be erected. We are excited to announce that the proceeds from the Class of 2020 Leave a Legacy Fund will go to the design and creation of that new sign. To be sure, the Class of 2020 has had an experience unlike any other graduating class in Homestead history. That’s why the sign will have the phrase “Dedicated to the Class of 2020” inscribed on it. Therefore, when these graduates and all others enter Homestead, they will be reminded of our most memorable class!
We hope you will consider a contribution in any amount to this project. All donors will be recognized on an engraved plaque and in the MTEF Annual Report. Contributions to Leave a Legacy are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by the law. Thank you in advance for your contribution and investment in Homestead High School. Kindly make your donation by July 31, 2020.
Sincerely,
