Annual Giving Campaign The Annual Giving Campaign, a community-wide direct mail effort, is the Foundation's largest fundraiser, generating more than half of the total funds raised in our fiscal year. The Foundation has conducted an Annual Giving Campaign since 1999.
The support of our financial donors including individuals, family foundations, community members, and businesses, along with corporate matching gifts, is sincerely appreciated.
The 2015-2016 Annual Giving Campaign generated over $200,000. The 2016-2017 Annual Campaign is currently underway and runs through January.
Tartan Ball...now the Tartan Bash The Tartan Bash (originally known as the Tartan Ball) is a community-wide event that provides an opportunity for all members from the Mequon-Thiensville community to join together to celebrate our exemplary schools. This fun, social fundraising event has been an annual tradition since 2000.
In 2016, the Tartan Bash was held at the the River Club of Mequon with the theme "POP-Party for Our Pupils". This school year, the Tartan Bash will be held on January 21, 2016, at a new venue for the MTEF, Ozaukee Country Club of Mequon.
Spring Raffle The MTEF Spring Raffle has occurred every spring since 2009. The Raffle gives everyone an opportunity to help support the MTEF when you buy a ticket, with the added bonus of maybe being a winner yourself! A $250 winner is drawn from each of the 6 schools and an overall grand prize winner is chosen to win $1000. The 2016 Spring Raffle raised $2300.
M-T Community 5k Run/Walk The 5k Run/Walk is a community-wide event held in May since 2007. The run/walk starts at Homestead High School and proceeds through the nearby neighborhoods. Every year, members of the community, parents, staff, and students participate. There is a 100 m Kids Dash for the younger crowd. The "Golden Sneaker" Trophy is awarded to both the elementary and middle school with the most participants based on enrollment.
The 2015 5k Run/Walk held in May raised over $9,000. Thank you to all our sponsors and everyone who participated. The coveted Golden Sneaker Trophies were officially retired with the elementary and middle school having the highest student/staff participant percentages. Congratulations to Donges Bay Elementary and Lake Shore Middle School!
